

Delia Ramos Rodríguez
is a Spanish violinist and conductor with a focus on chamber music, contemporary music, improvisation and interdisciplinary performance. She began learning the violin at the age of five in Madrid (Spain). In 2016, she completed her bachelor's degree with Prof Joaquín Torre at the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música in the same city.
She then moved to Germany and completed a master's degree with Prof. Anke Dill at the State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart in 2019. This was followed by a Master's in New Music with Melise Mellinger and Prof. Nurit Stark in 2021 and a CAS (Certificate for Advanced Studies) with the same professors in 2022. During this time, she worked as an assistant at the Studio for New Music.
With a focus on new music and performance, she has worked with various composers including Jennifer Walshe, Marco Stroppa, Helmut Lachenmann, Nicolaus A. Huber, Francesca Verunelli and Jessie Marino. She regularly performs as a soloist in cooperation with the Förderkreis Neue Musik Heilbronn and since 2020 she has been a lecturer for string instruments at the Landesjugendensemble für Neue Musik Baden-Württemberg.
She regularly plays with the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra, the Württemberg Chamber Orchestra Heilbronn, the Württemberg Philharmonic Orchestra Reutlingen and has performed with the Ensemble Modern and the Ensemble Resonanz in concert halls in Germany, Spain, Italy and Switzerland. She was a member of the Kairos Quartet in Berlin and a lecturer for string and chamber ensembles at the State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart.
For the winter semester 2023/24, she was offered a place on the newly created Master's degree programme in Ensemble Conducting New Music with Christof M Löser at the Stuttgart University of Music and Performing Arts. As a conductor, she has performed with ensembles such as the Ensemble DME from Lisbon and has already premiered several works by various composers in Brazil, Portugal, the Azores and Germany.
